Penstemon ‘Pensham Plum Jerkum’ is a long-flowering, semi-evergreen perennial about 70–75cm tall. Its plum-purple flowers have white-marked throats and open from summer into autumn, and bees and butterflies love them.
It’s happy in full sun or part shade and fertile soil that drains well, but dislikes cold, wet clay. It flowers for longer when deadheaded, and a dry mulch helps in cold areas.
