Persicaria affinis ‘Donald Lowndes’ is a mat-forming, semi-evergreen perennial that makes a neat groundcover. From June to October, short spikes of pale pink flowers darken as they age, and the dark green leaves turn red in autumn.
It’s happy in sun or part shade in most soils that stay moist but drain well, and dislikes drought. It’s fully hardy.
